Creating Connections Through Film

Founded in 2025, ZDL Films was created to fill a gap we saw in the industry: a need for video production that is not only high-quality but also sensitive, inclusive, and deliberately crafted around each client’s unique story. We believe meaningful content comes from understanding people, their goals, their challenges, and the communities they serve.

ZDL Films is built on the complementary strengths of its founders. Frederic brings hands-on experience from working on industry film productions, grounding our work in reliable on-site expertise. Marcel’s background in post-production ensures every project is elevated with thoughtful editing, technical precision, and a polished final finish.

Together, we combine creativity, efficiency, and a client-focused mindset to deliver videos that feel intentional, inclusive, and unmistakably yours. We work primarily within the education, government, and business sectors, where clarity, authenticity, and attention to detail matter most.

Hi! I’m Fred; a German-born, UK-raised filmmaker and one of the co-founders of ZDL Films. I manage the day-to-day operations of the business, whether that’s overseeing ongoing productions or handling general admin. My main focus is clear communication and close collaboration with clients and partners to ensure we deliver the video you need. Working alongside Marcel, I make sure the entire process — from the moment you hire us to the delivery of the final cut — is seamless.

Hey, I’m Marcel; the other co-founder of ZDL Films. I’m an award-winning filmmaker born in Los Angeles, raised in Arizona to an Italian immigrant family. I manage the technical aspects from production through to delivery. Equipment, new techniques, workflow development. Essentially, I’m here to help get your story told in the most precise and effective way using the latest tools and techniques. You focus on the message, and we’ll do on the rest.
